WAYS HRC Recruitment Website

I was asked to build a recruitment site for WAYS HRC, which like the Rapidflame site, enabled the user to edit and manage the website's content themselves. This time however, rather than just editing the text now and again, they required the ability to add or change text styles, add or change images, forms, tables, and include links to word documents or pdfs to the site. Each user also had no knowledge of html language and so, a user-friendly interface had to be designed to protect the user from this.

Anti-Gambling Project

I created a Flash-based artefact which had the primary aim of persuading people to avoid gambling (in particular online betting).

The aim was to create a flash based animation which appeared to be a gambling website by the viewer. After clicking on a series of links, they are led to the start of what appears to be a virtual fruit machine.

After indulging in the ‘on-line game’, the user soon begins to lose all of their cash or credits, and quickly ends up with a huge deficit to be owed from their bank account. There is then, no other option for the user but to pay the money, and it is at this point where they are subjected to an animation – one that negatively portrays gambling.
